Lotus Notes 8.5 auf Ubuntu installieren

Hierzu sind die enstprechenden Installationsdateien (Debian Install) von der IBM Passport Seite zu laden und mit auszupacken.
1. Installationsvorbereitung auf Ubuntu
Lotus Notes verwendet einige Schriftarten, die nicht zwangsläufig auf Ubuntu installiert sein müssen. Um diese nachzuinstallieren gehen Sie wie folgt vor:
sudo apt-get install ttf-xfree86-nonfree
sudo apt-get install t1-xfree86-nonfree
2. Installation von Lotus Notes
Die separat installierbaren Teile eines Lotus Notes Clients werden in einzelnen Dateien bereitgestellt. Diese sind durch einzelne Installationsschritte (Lotus Notes zuerst) zu installieren.
Lotus Notes Installation (Standardclient)
sudo dpkg -i ibm-lotus-notes-8.5.1.i586.deb
Lotus Sametime Installation
sudo dpkg -i ibm-lotus-sametime-8.5.1.i586.deb
Lotus Symphony Installation
sudo dpkg -i ibm-lotus-symphony-8.5.1.i586.deb
3. Konfiguration von Lotus Notes
Starten Sie Lotus Notes (aus "Anwendungen - Büro - Lotus Notes 8.5"), beantworten Sie die Lizenzabfrage und führen den bekannten Konfigurationsdialog durch.
3. De-Installation von Lotus Notes
Sollten Sie evtl. den Client wieder loswerden wollen, so können Sie die Pakete in der umgekehrten Reihenfolge (Lotus Notes zum Schluß) deinstallieren:
Lotus Symphony Installation
sudo dpkg -P ibm-lotus-symphony
Lotus Sametime Installation
sudo dpkg -P ibm-lotus-sametime
Lotus Notes Installation (Standardclient)
sudo dpkg -P ibm-lotus-notes
